ISBN & ISSN Numbers for Books and Magazines
If you are looking for a barcode for your magazine or book, we recommend first getting an ISBN number (for books) or an ISSN number (for magazines). This number can be easily transformed into a barcode number for your book or magazine, therefore you will not need to buy a unique barcode number.
ISBN (International
Standard Book Numbers) & ISSN (International Standard Serial
Number) are unique numbers that are assigned to published books,
magazines, serials & other similar products.
You can get ISBN numbers in Hong Kong from the National Library. For ISSN numbers, visit the international ISSN centre. (There is no specific ISSN agency for Hong Kong).

correct artwork to print on your magazine or book.
NOTE - ISSN barcodes can be created as either
EAN-13 13-digit numbers, or EAN13P2 numbers (13 digits plus a
smaller 2 digit barcode next to the main barcode). Please check with
your distributor & let us know which format you require.
